Is the charger really free?
Yes - the charger becomes effectively free once your $299 refundable deposit is returned after your charger records 1,500 kWh of eligible home charging.
How is Hypercharge Home Club funded?
Home Club is funded through carbon-credit value generated from eligible home EV charging under Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations, which helps reduce charger cost and support customer rewards.
When do I start earning rewards?
You start earning from day one, with rewards beginning from your first eligible charging session at home.
How much can I earn?
Home Club members start at 3¢/kWh, with rewards increasing over time as home charging grows, up to 11¢/kWh.
When do I get my deposit back?
Your full $299 deposit is refunded once your charger records 1,500 kWh of eligible home charging and the milestone is verified. Refunds are processed within 30 business days.
How do payouts work?
Rewards are paid by e-transfer once your balance reaches $100. Payouts are processed on the last Friday of each month. If that Friday is a public holiday, payouts will be processed on the preceding business day.
To be included in that month’s payout, your balance must reach $100 by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the Sunday before the scheduled payout Friday. If your balance reaches $100 after that cutoff, your rewards will be included in the next eligible payout run.
Are there membership fees?
No - Hypercharge Home Club does not have any membership fees whatsoever.
